Depending on the number of chips that need to be repaired most appointments are finished in less than 15 minutes.

What should I do if I get a rock chip?

Immediately cover the outside of the rock chip with clear packing tape to ensure no moisture or water penetrates and spreads the crack further. This will also ensure that when the resin is injected it does not get diluted and can maintain its strong bond to your glass. Contact us as soon as possible to schedule your appointment.

Should I clean my windshield?

Although we love working on clean windshields we request that you leave them dirty for the Technician. If moisture, cleaning solutions or water penetrates into the rock chip it can lead to the rock chip spreading even further. It can also dilute the resin when injected and make the bond to your glass weak. If there is fluid in your rock chip and it is repaired, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the repair.

Will my insurance cover my rock chip repair?

Most insurance companies do cover rock chip repairs, especially if you have comprehensive coverage. It is best to check with your insurance provider about your policy coverage and deductible as each carrier is different. We do however require payment at the time of service. We can supply you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company who then can reimburse you directly.
